Away from this unbelievable effort, which nearly saw him emulate the heroics of Mohamed Salah and Oliver Giroud in being up for that prestigious award, Bennett would never prove himself to be a reliable goalscorer for the men’s team, which would result in his exit from the club under Philip Cocu just a year on from this audacious strike versus the Latics.

The 5 foot 11 forward – who made the permanent move to Millwall in August 2020 – would only manage to score five more goals for the Rams away from this memorable effort looping over the Wigan goalkeeper, finishing his time at the club with a lacklustre goal return of six from 89 clashes.

To further add insult to injury, that much-talked-about goal wouldn’t even be nominated, with Bennett also struggling away from Derby to find his goalscoring mojo as can be seen looking at the table above.

Now on the books of Burton, who are fighting against relegation in League One, it’s fair to say the 28-year-old never lived up to his immense hype as a wonderkid.

Derby will hope they can unearth more homegrown gems soon, away from failed examples such as Bennett, but will know experience is going to be key in fending off the Championship relegation zone across this gruelling campaign.

ويبلغ المستوري من العمر 27 عامًا فقط، ولكن أرقامه الجيدة مع المنستيري جعلت إدارة الزمالك تفكر في ضمه، حيث سجل 18 هدفًا وصنع 3 آخرين في 32 مباراة بجميع البطولات.

ولكن ما كان عائقًا أمام إدارة الزمالك عندما قاموا بفتح المناقشات مع المنستيري، أن النادي التونسي أبلغهم أن عليهم دفع المبلغ المتبقي في صفقة الجفالي، وقدره 300 ألف دولار، قبل التفاوض على عودة اللاعب من عدمه واستبداله بالمستوري.

Phoenix had needed to win in 73 balls to lift their net run rate above Spirit’s and take them in to Friday’s playoff game at the Ageas Bowl, although ending the season on ten points means they could still sneak through in the even of a tie – or a no-result – in Wednesday’s match between Manchester Originals and Oval Invincibles at Old Trafford.Earlier, Ravi Bopara’s 45 from 19 balls propelled Spirit to 139 for 6 despite 4 for 17 for Tom Helm on his home ground.Liam Dawson’s 3 for 15 and 4 for 24 from Mason Crane appeared to have Spirit in control especially when Bopara caught Wade off the legspinner with 22 needed, but Tanveer Sangha and Helm got Phoenix over the line.Consolation for Spirit is despite defeat they will contest the eliminator on Friday for a chance to take on Trent Rockets in the final.Spirit needing to win by 36 runs or more to go straight to the final as group winners found runs hard to come by for much of their innings. ونجح ليفربول في حسم لقب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز هذا الموسم 2024/25، بعد أن فاز على توتنهام بنتيجة 5/1، في اللقاء الذي أقيم ضمن منافسات الجولة 34 من البريميرليج.

Derbyshire’s surprising decision not to enforce the follow-on against Sussex reduced their chances of winning a match they had dominated – and even gave their opponents an outside chance of pulling off an astonishing victory.When Sussex were bowled out for 337 in this LV= Insurance County Championship match, losing their last five wickets for 38 runs and their last three in the space of four Hayden Kerr deliveries to concede a first innings advantage of 214, they looked down and out and not relishing the prospect of being put back in.But Derbyshire decided to bat again and when they slumped to 54 for five, with Jack Brooks putting in a four-wicket burst, Sussex sensed the chance to pinch an outrageous win. Billy Godleman was well caught by Tom Alsop at first slip off Sean Hunt in the second over. That means the Derbyshire captain has 213 championship runs in 13 innings this season for an average of 16.38.Then Brooks stepped up. He had Brooke Guest lbw for eight before dismissing the first-innings hero Wayne Madsen first ball, caught behind. In his next over Brooks dismissed Leus du Plooy, who mis-cued to midwicket, and in his next over Shan Masood dragged a wide ball onto his stumps.Anuj Dal and Kerr fell near the close and Derbyshire closed on 127 for seven, a lead of 341. They are still favourites to win the game but Sussex can now see an escape route.Sussex had started the third day on 142 for three, chasing a target of 402 to avoid the follow-on, with Mohammad Rizwan unbeaten on 54 and the in-form Oli Carter 14. But then he was bowled going back when he might have been forward to one from the impressive Mark Watt, who was signed as a t20 player but who now appears to be the side’s number one red ball spinner.The spotlight on Rizwan was getting brighter with the fall of each wicket at the other end.
